We all love our quirky little Internet games to pass the time at work, but here’s one with a difference.
FreeRice is a simple, but very addictive vocabulary game. You are given a word and four possible synonyms and you have to say which one is correct. As you progress the words get harder and so on.
The difference here, to most games of a similar fashion, is that for every answer you get right the website donates 20 grains of rice to poverty-stricken countries. This is a non-profit scheme, paid for by small adverts under each question, so in a sense everyone is a winner. Try it out here, it’s well worth five minutes of your time.
