GOTB: The story so far (Part 7)

ratatouille.jpgChristmas has now come and gone, and our launch date now lies a mere three days away, but enough of that. Luckily for us the site is virtually complete and we are now putting the finishing touches to the accompanying magazine.

We have chosen our cover star, pictured above. The magazine is filled with a whole variety of reviews and features based on the website, as it will be in the continuing issues. The best of the site each month, plus previews to the month ahead, will be published. Our philosophy is completely the same as our whole brand ethos - provide us with opinionated and informative content and we will publish it.

This is the last of these updates on the construction of the site. We will leave them up here as a mater of interest, but as of three days time this blog will serve to provide alternative reviews to those carried elsewhere on the site, and our general comment on current affairs. See you then!

GOTB - The story so far (Part 6)

coming-soon.gifWell, here we are - at the crucial stage of proceedings. With less than a month to go (25 days, 10 hours and 46 minutes at the time of writing - so our countdown widget says) we are down to the nitty gritty of the site. Aside from the magazine home page, and a couple of other minor changes, the site design is complete.

All that remains now is to fill up the content. This means a month of writing reviews, and sourcing a lot of content in advance. Another tough decision this week came when choosing our affiliates. We’ve had a list of several interested companies for a while now, but have finally narrowed it down to one per section of the site. The site has never been designed to make money, but with the help of these affiliates we can provide better content and hopefully generate some revenue at the same to to help maintain the site.

Best get started on those reviews then…
